Lithuanians will represent the country in the world of robots in the United States

FIRST Global is an annual robotics competition taking place in the USA and bringing together gifted young inventors from all over the world. This year’s competition will be held July 16-18. Washington DC Lithuania will be represented by a team from the Robotics School.

The only event of this kind in the world

“It is a great honor for us to represent Lithuania in these competitions. – says the founder and director of the “Robotic School” Paul Briedis, – the Chicago Lithuanian community expressed concern that there are over 160 teams from all over the world, but Lithuania is not. I realized that it was a chance to show up to my team of the best students, and to expand the robotic culture in Lithuania. ”

FIRST Global annually organizes a robotics competition that encourages more and more young people to become interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The name of the organization lies in two prominent names – Dean Kamen, founder and famous inventor of FIRST Global, in the belief that STEM will help solve global problems and bring together young inventors to work together, as well as Joe Sestak – FIRST Global president, former US admiral and A congressman working with President Clinton, who is currently engaged in educative and non-profit activities.
