Madagascar: when digital natives are passionate about robotics

They are six Malgaches, between the ages of 16 and 19, passionate about robotics and programming, and will soon fly to Washington DC to represent Madagascar at the FIRST Global Challenge, an international robotics competition. I had the chance to talk with these young “nerds” (1) and proud of being who brilliantly embody the new generation of digital natives in Madagascar. ?

A first for Madagascar

The FIRST Global Challenge will take place from July 16-18, 2017 in the US capital and will feature the participation of some 160 countries. It’s a great annual event that celebrates young scientists from around the world, allowing them to create robots, but not just any one! Robots that will provide solutions to major global challenges. And this year, the theme will focus on access to drinking water.
