Nigerian Youths Set for Robotic Olympic in USA

A group secondary school student drawn from public and private schools are now ready to represent Nigeria at the First Global Robot Olympic Challenges alongside 149 youths from other nations of the world.

Founded by philanthropic inventor Dean Kamen to inspire a passion for science and technology leadership and innovation among the world’s more than two billion youths, FIRST Global provides the framework for an Olympics-style robotics event that drives home the importance of obtaining the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills needed by future leaders to overcome the greatest challenges facing our world – today and tomorrow.

The team representing Nigeria, some of whom are currently writing their junior secondary school exams were presented to the media in Lagos at a press conference where some of their inventions were displayed to the admiration of the guest who came to see their inventions.
