Team Chile 2017

The Team Chile for the FIRST Robotics Olympics brings together high school students from various schools and backgrounds – all of us driven by passion for technology and robotics. Our team’s vision is to support the development of education, especially STEAM education, throughout the country and the world.

Our team members have taken part in VEX Robotics Competition, VEX IQ Challenge, FIRST LEGO League, FIRST Robotics Competition, both in Chile and the United States. Students who’d been involved in FIRST Global represent various cities in Chile including Puerto Varas, Valparaiso and Santiago, Chile’s capital.

Robotics is still a developing field at its early stages in Chile and we really feel like we are bringing innovation and inspire change.  Our team mentor Nacho Fernandez is an entrepreneur and one of the founders of “Corazón Tecnológico y Científico de Chile” which is an NGO focusing on science and technology development in education context. In the last few years members of the team had organized and participated in many events from Technology Expos though workshops and robotics competitions, we couldn’t be more excited to represent Chile at FIRST Global!
