Team Finland 2019 🇫🇮

Hello friends! We are Team Finland 2019, consisting of Eszter, Hilkka, Pinja and Sebastian from Otaniemi Upper Secondary School and Samu from Tulliportti Upper Secondary School. We are mentored by Matti, a physics and mathematics teacher at Otaniemi, and Simo, a gold medalist from the 2017 FIRST Global Challenge.

Finland is a Nordic country sharing its borders with Sweden, Norway, and Russia. We are well known for our high-tech knowledge-based economy, quality education system, beautiful nature, large forests, and thousands of lakes.

Otaniemi Upper Secondary School is located in Southern Finland, Espoo, which is the second largest city in Finland, right after our capital Helsinki. Otaniemi Upper Secondary School is a science-oriented high school, and shares campus area with Aalto University, the largest technology and business university in Finland. Technology is changing the world and has already become a natural part of our lives, so it is not a surprise that joint projects with Aalto University are an important part of our high school studies.

We are very excited about the 2019 FIRST Global Challenge, and are looking forward to this incredible opportunity to learn and network with students from around the world!
