Team Bermuda 2018

Kameron Young
I’m 16 years old and I’m very happy to be a member of Team Bermuda for the FIRST Global robotics competition in Mexico City. I’m very excited about this competition mostly because robotics is really the future of the world. For me, I want to be in the medical field, so being able to learn robotics now, and also learn from international countries, is just a fantastic opportunity that I’m really looking forward to.

I’m 15 and I’ve been at Bermuda High School for four years. I started robotics at the beginning of this year because I’ve always been into physics and technology because they’re pretty cool. I’m really excited for the FIRST Global competition because hopefully I can meet new people and improve in engineering, which could help my career in the future.

I’m 17 years old and I live in Bermuda. I have been interested in robotics for about two years now. I began being interested last year in the FIRST Global Challenge, and I had a passion for engineering and math and I do even more now. I’m super excited about this year’s competition because I feel like I’m more experienced and I totally loved it last year and I can’t wait to participate in it this year.

Nathan
I’ve always had a passion for computers, however I never had the opportunity to explore this passion until I moved to Warwick Academy 3 years ago. I was first introduced to robotics by my teacher and since then have never looked back. I’m excited to meet many different people who have the same interests and hobbies as me from around the world, and am also excited to take the skills that I have learned in the process leading up to the competition and to help build a program at my school to encourage more kids into robotics.
