Team Dominica 2019 🇩🇲

The Commonwealth of Dominica is a country situated in the center of the Caribbean archipelago. Internationally deemed the “nature island of the Caribbean”, we are not frequently associated with rapid developments in the STEM disciplines. However, despite the many hindrances that our FGC 2019 team faces, we intend to put our best feet forward so that we may unblock avenues that permit subsequent Dominican robotics teams to excel.

Our team is comprised of 7 energetic, intelligent and motivated young persons. They are:

Briana (computer programmer), who is a keen Computer Science and Geography student. She represented her school at previous robotics events and she is looking forward to applying some of the knowledge gained at the FGC 2019.

Charleson (computer programmer) is a hard-working student of Computer Science and Mathematics at the Dominica State College. He is grateful for the opportunity to partake in this challenge. He looks forward to a career in technological entrepreneurship and this robotics competition will definitely give him insight.

Kieyah (electrical engineer) majors in Electrical Engineering Technology at the Dominica State College and has always been fascinated by how robots are made and manipulated to make life so much easier. This interest has been the driving force of his participation at the FGC.

Kodie (computer engineer) is a diligent Computer Science and Economics student. His appetite for technology was whet from a young age and this appetite has only been getting more and more ravenous as he grows older. He enjoys combining both his computer programming and engineering skills to make new devices and see them come to life. The FGC will definitely be a life-changing experience for him.

Krish (mechanical engineer) who studies Mechanical Engineering Technology at school and is a talented 17-year-old. He has an innate ability to design new things and the FGC will definitely put his skills to the test. He dreams of being an Aerospace engineer.

Niyyat (I.T specialist) is an assiduous Information Technology student at the Dominica State College. She loves all things “technology” and she looks forward to participating in the 2019 FIRST Global Challenge.

Ajay (mechanical engineer) is a studious Mechanical Engineering Technology student who loves building new things. He is in his second year at the Dominica State college and getting the opportunity to build a robot really thrills him. He looks forward to meeting people with similar interests at the 2019 FGC.
