Team ESwatini 2019 🇸🇿

#DreamFactory

We are a Girls in Tech Club of Simunye, AKA Dream Factory, with ONE MISSION — “Aspire for Greatness”. We see the future as female. And exist to set the trend.

Team ESwatini is a team of 8 girls, aged 14 to 17 years, coming from different rural communities within the Lubombo Region of ESwatini.

As we learn and grow, we want to inspire, encourage, and rise together with other teenage girls, especially those within underserved communities. We engaged our peers on issues such as proper decision making. We talk “Girls Issues”, such as tackling community development challenges like access to clean water, girls sexual health issues, access to STEM learning opportunities, etc, through STEM, entrepreneurship, and community engagement projects.

In our first year of existence, 2019, we have already done our STEM, entrepreneurship, and community engagement projects in 10 rural high schools and two orphans’ homes. We have reached, interacted with, and engaged over 2000 girls to date.

We are game changers in ESwatini, leading the way as we take ourselves out of poverty. We know a little can be accomplished as an individual team.

The FIRST Global Challenge is our fuel, an opportunity to connect, collaborate, to share and learn, and to be part of a global movement. An opportunity to accomplish greatness, an opportunity to rise together, in a way we have not imagined. And for this, we are grateful.
