STEM Guyana receives $1M for FIRST Global Robotic challenge

Minister within the Ministry of Communities, Annette Ferguson yesterday handed over a cheque of $1M to the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Guyana team, which will be representing the country at this year’s ‘FIRST Global Robotic’ competition in Dubai.

“This year hopefully, we are looking forward to getting a good result whereby we can be in the top five,” said team member Paul Glasgow, during an interview with the Department of Public Information (DPI).

The event begins on October 24 and continues until the 27. Ten Guyanese, ages 15-18 will represent the nation.
