Unprecedented silver medal for Israel at robotics Olympics in Dubai

The Israel robotics delegation, consisting of five Megiddo regional high school students, which is sponsored by the Technion, won a silver medal at the Global Challenge FIRST Global Olympics held over the weekend in Dubai.

The Israeli team qualified for the final stage in the 191-nation competition as the head of a group which included delegations from Italy, Uganda and Australia. It won 4 medals in total, including the silver medal in the finals and a silver medal in overall competition in the competition, after completing the preliminary stage as the only team with a perfect record of nine wins with no losses or ties, for which it was ranked first. In addition, the team received a special medal for exceptional help to other groups.
