Coming from the rural parts of the department of Intibucá, these Hondurans high school students have to walk through a mountain with little paved roads just to get to school. They believe that by strengthening their STEM skills, new windows of opportunity will open up for them and their country as they become a part of a more global and unified STEM community. As being the first students to represent Honduras at an international robotics event, these future STEM leaders consider the 2017 FIRST Global Challenge to be a life-changing experience.

We are happy to share their profile video with you, where they describe what this opportunity means to them and what they are trying to accomplish at the end of this year’s Challenge.
