The National Robotics Team is an initiative of the non-profit organization charity eduACT – Action for Education (eduact.org) and the educational non-profit organization Mathisis (‘Heron’, Digital Education & Mathisis LTD) and was established last year to participate in the robotics olympiad the 2018 FIRST Global Challenge in Mexico City representing our country officially.

In the course of the year the team was active in presenting its work at events, science festivals and exhibitions across Greece (TIF, Mind the LAB, Evening Researcher, etc.), as well as organizing and participating in STEM actions for children and adolescents, mainly in the form of educational robotics independent platforms (Lego education, Meet Edison, Arduino) and coding.

Since April, the team has expanded (23 team members), as our goal is to become a training institution for children, teenagers and anyone interested in robotics, programming and STEM in general. The team members, in addition to building the robot to participate in the 2019 FIRST Global Challenge, will be trained and will in turn train the workshop participants throughout the next academic year.
