Team Saudi Arabia 2019 🇸🇦

Team Saudi Arabia consists of five passionate young students, a highly educated and skilled technical mentor, and an enthusiastic team leader. We are looking forward to inspiring our generation and igniting their passion to be involved in solving global challenges. We strive to take part in worldwide and international success and leave impactful traces on the world.

As students coming from different schools, we’ve met one another in one of the innovation hubs in the Eastern Province, called “BrightUp.” At BrightUp, our paths cross through our mutual interest and love for STEM. We are very excited to combine our experiences, skills and share our ideas with youth from all over the world. Most importantly, as productive individuals, we are honored to take part in finding a sustainable solution for one of the world’s biggest problems “pollution.” As we are eager to share our interests with FIRST Global, below is a brief introduction of our team:

Sulafa AlShehri, Student:
Sulafa is an enthusiastic and goal-oriented 14-year-old who has been in many tech-related courses. She is greatly interested in puzzle cracking and problem-solving, and that includes her love for technology and engineering. As this is her first international competition, she is hoping to learn a lot through this incredible opportunity, and she is thrilled to participate on behalf of her country.

Abdulaziz AlNutaifi , Student:
Abdulaziz is a very curious 14-year-old who has always been keen to know and learn about robotics. He is thrilled for the chance to participate in hands-on experience and put his building and engineering skills to the test. He is ecstatic to meet people with the same interests and participate in a worldwide tournament.

Lena Alabdulwahab, Student:
Lena is a hardworking and ambitious 17 year old. She is interested in all parts of STEAM. This will be her second time participating in a global scientific celebration, as she took part in Intel’s international science and engineering fair 2019. She is beyond excited and proud to be representing Saudi Arabia again in FGC. She believes that with curiosity and determination anything is possible.

Dr. Kamal Chenaoua, Technical Mentor:
