Team Cameroon 2017

Founded in 2014 by Janet Fofang , Engineering  teacher,  co- founder of Tassah Academy,  WeTech Africa Leadership council member, TechWomen Alumnae, 2016 winner of the Richard Newton ABIE Educator Award. STEM Clubs have made partnerships with 8 schools to form after school programs for hands on experiences with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)

Students make great scientists, inventors, and entrepreneurs; they simply may not know it yet! Simply by doing STEM, students learn not only incredible skills, but also learn to believe in themselves as leaders of tomorrow.

Located in Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon, the Tassah Academy is home of our flagship club and team of youth leaders.  Currently expanding to other parts of the country, with multiple clubs forming in new locations, we hope to drive innovation and creativity in our youth, by equipping them with knowledge to solve the world’s toughest problems.  They learn to gather and evaluate evidence and make sense out of the information around them.
