Team Jordan 2017

Princess Rahma team aims at exploring new exciting technology, enhancing our critical thinking skills, and experiencing the field of robotics by participating in prestigious global competitions. Unlike many other teams, our team has many challenges as we are a public school in Jordan with very limited resources, However, with our enthusiasm and perseverance we work hard as a team to overcome all the challenges. The team is dedicated  to meet after school hours and during weekends to complete the tasks needed from us. In order for us to gain more hands on experience and to be better trained for this competition  we opted to cooperate with volunteers from the universities  who are specialized in Mechatronics.

Our aim as female students is to be the robotics ambassadors of our beloved country as many people think that this field is usually for males. As a team, we have the desire to learn, explore, strategize, share ideas and experiences, introduce our culture, make new friends, and HAVE FUN!

Team members are Sameera Bader, Sima Sarhan, Ala Kanakrieh, Ghayd Al Takrouri Al Tamimi, Rama Farrah, Maya Al Niss, and Layan AlhreshatMariam Hanaktah coach the team. The Pioneers is the first all females’ students from the public schools who will participate in such a well-known famous competition.
