Avant de rejoindre le FIRST<\/em> Jos\u00e9, membre de l'\u00e9quipe Global Guinea-Bissau, se rendait normalement au port de Bandim, le plus grand port de p\u00eache du pays, pour acheter du poisson avec sa famille. Cependant, apr\u00e8s avoir rejoint l'\u00e9quipe et d\u00e9couvert le th\u00e8me de l'ann\u00e9e \"Opportunit\u00e9s oc\u00e9aniques\", il a eu l'id\u00e9e d'organiser un nettoyage pour lutter contre la pollution qu'il voyait sur place.<\/p>\n

Parrain\u00e9s par dix institutions locales, ils ont rassembl\u00e9 plus de 80 b\u00e9n\u00e9voles pour une journ\u00e9e enti\u00e8re de nettoyage. Non seulement ils ont enlev\u00e9 de nombreux d\u00e9chets du port, mais ils ont \u00e9galement pris des mesures pour aider \u00e0 endiguer le probl\u00e8me \u00e0 la source en organisant des activit\u00e9s de sensibilisation. Ils ont sensibilis\u00e9 la population aux dangers de la pollution et \u00e0 l'importance de garder le port propre. L'\u00e9quipe a m\u00eame \u00e9t\u00e9 interview\u00e9e par deux stations de radio nationales au sujet de ses efforts.<\/p>\n

Conscients qu'aucun probl\u00e8me ne peut \u00eatre r\u00e9solu du jour au lendemain, les organisateurs et les sponsors de l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement se sont engag\u00e9s \u00e0 poursuivre la lutte contre la pollution dans leur pays.<\/p>\n

\"Les \u00e9l\u00e8ves ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 un travail remarquable. Les robots peuvent vraiment nous aider \u00e0 nettoyer les oc\u00e9ans\", a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 l'un des mentors de l'\u00e9quipe. \"Cependant, il reste encore beaucoup \u00e0 faire.
