Honduras places second in the 2018 FIRST Global Challenge in Mexico

This group of young catrachos, students from schools of the departments of Intibucá and Colón, who have represented Honduras with dignity, obtained the award for the Second Best Robot of this competition, carrying with them the silver medal in this category ” Design and Efficiency ” of the 2018 FIRST Global Challenge Awards.

What is not surprising, is that in these activities of utmost importance to youth, do not have the support of the appropriate authorities, however the youth were responsible for putting the best of themselves to give us this joy, Congratulations Team Honduras!

During the 2018 FIRST Global Challenge, a high-profile international robotics competition for high schoolers brought together students from more than 160 nations in the Arena Ciudad de Mexico Ricardo Salinas, president of Grupo Salinas and founding member of FIRST Global, recognized the passion of these young competitors in the creation and driving of robots as  “the best demonstration”  to having a better world through teamwork.

The president of Mexico Peña Nieto opened the event saying, “The talent, creativity and innovative spirit of the young participants will contribute to the better development of our societies.”
