Team Niger 2018

Aida Ibrahima Abdou: Team Captain 
Aida is 16 years old and student in Premiere C (2nd year of High School) at Lycée Mariama of Niamey. She likes Mathematics, Life & Earth Sciences and Philosophy. She already had the chance to participate last year to the first edition of the competition of FIRST Global Challenge in Washington (USA) in the team of Niger. This has encouraged her to take a greater interest in Robotics and for that, she would like to continue her studies in Robotics to become an engineer. She’s interested in Robotics because she’s convinced that it is one of the best ways to develop her country Niger and to solve the problems of her community. In her free time, she likes cooking, listening to music, hanging out with friends and reading. Her particularity is that she’s polyvalent and very hardworking. 

Moussa Bouba Salou, Driver 
Moussa is 17 years old and student in Première C class (2nd year Senior Secondary School). He has 2 sisters and 3 brothers. He’s passionate about Technology. He likes Robotics because it helps you go faster when doing an action. He would like to become an engineer in Civil Engineering to participate to the construction of his country Niger. He likes playing volley ball and chess games. He’s someone very enduring. 

Mahamadou Roufaï Garba Chipkao: Programmer 
Mahamadou is 17 years old and is student in 2nd year in Industrial Maintenance at the Issa Béri Senior Secondary School in Niamey. His favorite subjects are mathematics and applied mechanics. He is very passionate about electricity and would like to become an engineer in electro-mechanics. He is interested in robotics because it is a promising field for Africa to enable us to catch up with technology. His hobbies are football and video games. Roufaï is very determined and sociable with everyone. 

Daouda HAMADOU: Mentor & Coach
Daouda is the Mentor and Coach of Niger team. He is an entrepreneur and CEO of NOVATECH, a startup which specializes in offering innovative solutions in the areas of Networks, Telecommunications, Web & Mobile Applications, Software Development and the Internet of Things (IoT). He is a laureate of several programs, including the 2016 Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) at Dartmouth College (USA) in Leadership, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He is the Lead Manager of the Google Developers Group of Niamey and is passionate about travel and water sports.

Seyni Fatoumata Bako: Team Manager
Fatoumata is Manager of the Niger team. She works as a project manager at CIPMEN (Incubator Center for Small and Medium Enterprises in Niger). She is very passionate about supporting young people in the realization of their innovation projects. She is a laureate of the first edition of the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) initiated in 2010 in the USA and she is a very active member of the Lions Club of Niger. She is very interested in reading and has been a basketball player on the national team of Niger.
