FGC Team Albania is a group of four young engineers aged 14-17, who have all been involved in FIRST programs and competitions before: Martin Kalo (14, Builder and 3D Designer), Dea Rrozhani (16, Programmer and outreach coordinator), Igli Qershori (17, Builder), and Gianmarco Cornacchia (17, Team Captain and Builder). The students are all truly passionate about robotics and attended various international robotics and programming competitions, including Technovation, FTC, FLL, and previous FGC editions. They are guided and supported by Besnik Zylka (Team manager) and Juljan Grori (Technical Mentor), who voluntarily made themselves available to share their knowledge in the field of robotics with the students. Based in Tirana, the Albanian capital, FGC Team Albania is practicing at the Innovation Lab of the European University of Tirana, which kindly offered their facilities to the team. Through hard work and dedication, Team Albania’s main goal is to foster the development of STEM within the Albanian youth community, in order to help Tirana become an important innovation center in Eastern Europe. The team can’t wait to show the world what it is capable of doing and is looking forward to seeing their fellow young engineers in Dubai!
