Team Senegal 2019 🇸🇳

As a robotic team, we belong to a scientific ant technology club operating each week during the school year. We are a group of students who are passionate about STEAM and with the help of our coach and school facilities we have made these achievements:

  • Second place of the 2016 Pan-African Robotics Competition (PARC)
  • First place in the 2017 and 2018 PARC
  • Our first participation in the first global in 2018
  • Second place and Third place in different categories in different categories during the 2019 PARC.

We want to create a science tech (STEAM) and as scientific group advocate for school systems to bridge the gap between theory, practice and relevancy in the science, technology engineering and mathematic curriculums, commonly referred to as STEAM

We want to apply science, technology to achieve sustainable development and to ensure that Africa contributes to the global pool of scientific knowledge and technological innovations.

We want also to promote a better understanding of the challenges of effective technology integration in education in the 21st century.

The team consists of:

Malick Fall (Team Captain /Driver)
Malick is the captain of the team; he is talented with his hands. He helps the team build the robots, is an excellent pilot and maintains the balance of the team. He’s participated in the 2019 Pan-African Robotics Competition and he has already created an app, Soxlona.

Sidy Thiam (Spokesperson/Programmer)
Sidy is as one can say a gifted, English-speaking, he is in some ways the brain of the team. He helps the team to do the programming and all that is tricks. At school he is in several programs, and he is very interested in robotics and wants to design later his own computer.

Abdou Khadre Dia (Human Player)
He is one of the team members who is versatile. He helps the team; with construction and programming. When the team is out of ideas, it always comes with a solution. At school, he makes the best of his class. He is interested in technology and robotics. This is an opportunity for us to strengthen our openness to the world and to share our experience in technology. It’s as well a challenge because we want to win this competition for Senegal for Africa.

Makhtar André Kenny Ndoye (Driver)
André is a young, new member in our team. He is very gifted in building, driving and in programming. He can stay concentrated on his task, no matter the pressure of the situation. He always comes out on top of his class. André has many aspirations in life, but he mainly wants to become a chemical engineer to help the world with its nuclear problems.

Boubacar Kandé (Human Player/Driver)
Boubacar is also a new face in our team. He is polyvalent, and mainly helps in the construction of the robot. He’s also a very good pilot who just can’t get enough of cars. Another quality he has is a great business sense.
