Robotic Olympics: a Seminaire team to Washington

(SHERBROOKE) The robotics team at the Séminaire de Sherbrooke will fly to Washington soon to take part in the first edition of First Global. The Sherbrooke team is the only Canadian team to participate in the International Robotics Olympiad, which will bring together 176 teams from 160 countries.

The feat could not have been accomplished without the contribution of teacher Francys Gauthier, who won the Woodie Flowers Award at the recent Montreal Robotics Festival. This award is presented to an exceptional robotic competition mentor who has managed, inspired and empowered his team with excellent communication skills.

It was this award that allowed her recipient to create a team to represent Canada in Washington. His team of robotic champions is made up of students of secondary 3 to 5, Félix Giffard, Raphaël Bisson, Félix Leonard, Timothy Gulliver, Etienne Renaud, Christopher Bélanger and, only member of the female sex, Logan Cadorette.
