Hello, we are Team Luxembourg and we are very proud to participate for the first time in the First Global Challenge 2017. We are a small country in the very heart of Europe, between Germany, Belgium, and France.

Our Team, like our country, is composed of people with many different nationalities. We have seven students with five different nationalities and everybody is working together towards getting the robot ready in time. We joined the challenge at the end of April, so time is of the essence for us.

The students are from different secondary schools from across the country. In this way, each team member can bring a different quality to our team.

Our team mentor, Ronny Osweiler, has a master’s degree in Computer Science and is currently teacher at the Lycée des Arts et Métiers in Luxembourg City. As the mentor is also member of the Code Club at the school, the project is closely supervised by the Code Club. The project perfectly fits into the STEAM education (Science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) that the Lycée des Arts et Métiers tries to provide.

We are also very proud that we got a visit by out Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, as you can see in the picture. He wished us the best of luck for the challenge. He invited us to a cup of coffee if we win the Challenge.

Our team is looking forward to the event in Washington, as we are happy to meet people from different counties, with the same interests as we have.
