02 Nov Afghan All-Girl Robotics Team Wins FIRST Global’s Judges Award

Afghanistan’s all-girl robotics team has won the Judges Award in FIRST Global’s 2021 competition.

According to the (FGC), this award is given annually to the team that performs well and works hard.

The girls displayed three of their new robots in a virtual competition in the FIRST Global challenge.

Teams from 177 countries participated in the competition.

“We were the girls who struggled with many obstacles. We were given the opportunities and we gained a great honor,” said Sumaia Faroqi, the leader of the robotics team.
