Team United States of America members come primarily from the FIRST® Tech Challenge team 8565 (TechnicBots) from Texas. The team was founded by Dr. Fang Wang and just completed its 7th season in FTC. In 2018, 2019, and 2021, team TechnicBots won the Inspire Award at the North Texas Championship and qualified for the FIRST® World Championships. In 2017, we were the Jemison division semifinalist alliance captain at the Houston World Championships and held the World Record in January. This past season, we were the Armadillo division winners and finalist alliance captains, as well as the Connect Award and 3rd place Inspire Award winners at the State Championship (Texas Cup). Our team also made it to the FIRST® Innovation Challenge final round for our innovation in an adaptive physical therapy device designed for children with Developmental Coordination Disorder. We are deeply passionate about inspiring the love of STEM in our communities. We recruited and mentored many FIRST® robotics teams and youth from underserved communities throughout the pandemic through our partnership with our Boys and Girls Clubs.
