Our team is based in two mid-sized towns: ‘Myjava’ and ‘Ziar nad Hronom’, whose students won a Slovak national robotic competition similar to 2021 FIRST Global Challenge. Students from both towns proved to be creative, STEM-focused, and eco-friendly. They aim to unite people with STEM to build a better future for all of us. The 2022 FIRST Global Challenge brought them together to work as one Team Slovakia.

The students from Myjava: Karin, a robot designer and media person; Martin, a robot builder and innovative mind; Jakub, a robot and team builder; Richard, debating ideas and hardware solutions; Andrej, the main coder in Myjava; Rastislav, helping with turning the ideas into construction; Pavol, managing the materials necessary for the team; Tomas, a robot builder, helper, manager, and carbon capture project focused student.

The students from Ziar nad Hronom: Martin, the main programmer in Ziar nad Hronom and robot builder; Patrik, responsible for robot building and 3D printing; Dominik, a programmer and team administration; Tamara and Marek, mostly programmers but also creative hardware solutions designers; David, Gregor, and Vladimir, mostly focused on robot building and testing. The students from Ziar nad Hronom also organize robotic workshops for younger students.

Team Slovakia members are excited to be part of the 2022 FIRST Global Challenge and keen on facing new challenges, getting new experience, and pushing their limits and possibilities, sharing the FIRST Global values and goals.
