Team Azerbaijan 2017

We are Istak Lyceum – International School Robotics Team from Baku, Azerbaijan. It will be great robotics experience for us to participate in First Global and also we look forward to make a new friendship network  in this amazing tournament.

Our team participated in different robotics competitions before, both local and international. But this one is different. We have participated in Infomatrix Romania and Kazakhstan. This year our school organized National Robotics Competition between school students from different cities of Azerbaijan.

Mentor: Rovshan Zeynalov. I am Computer Science teacher at Istak Lyceum – International School. Robotics is my hobby. We have Robotics Club at school. We have started this club 3 years ago beginning with arduino projects. And now we have Lego robotics club too. We have started in a little room and last year we prepared special large room dedicated for STEM. We are improving this room and our works day by day. Now we have started to cooperate with different tech companies to make our works professional.

All team students are well interested in Robotics and all of them have medals from different  robotics competitions.

Agil Aliyev and Malik Hagverdiyev started won silver medal in Romania for their Smart Home project in 2015. They used arduino chips to build their project. This year they prepared autonomus flower watering system and won bronze medal in national robotics competition.  Omar Gurbanli participated in Kazakhstan – Lego Sumo Robotics competition and won gold medal this year. Other two members Ginyat Lyatifov and Aydin Imranov participated in Romania and won silver medal in robotics category.

Agil, Malik and Omar are engineers of team. Ginyat is programmer and designer. He is our team captain. He is  Ginyat specialized in Java, but also knows Python and C++ too. Aydin is our team spokesperson, commercial face of our team.

We have participated in different competitions, but this one is different. We  are preparing for the most challenging robotics competition in our team life. Good Luck to all teams!
