02 Jul Team Cambodia 2018
We share a strong interest in STEM and have a great desire for hands-on experience. We love to try new things and take on challenges. Through participation with the FIRST Global Challenge, we got an opportunity to learn and acquire important skills while working as a team building our first robot, such as communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking as well as shaping our character for the better. We are looking to come back from Mexico City and be part of the solution to STEM Education in Cambodia.
Laurana is 16 years old this year and she is really fascinated with discovering new things, especially about science experiments and technology. She’s been into technologies after her school visiting the science fair when she was 13 years old. She loves talking to new people and sharing her interest in STEM, music and movies. What’s more, she likes being in a competition.
Rassa is 16 years old. She likes to learn about electronics, science and technology. She had been interested in technology since she was 5 years old when she saw a video on YouTube that talked about science technology. She is an outgoing person and love to play with electronics and videogames.
Solyza is the youngest team member (13 years old) and likes to build and create things from scratch with random materials she could find around. Her spark of interest and curiosity in STEM started when she was 10 years old, by accident she found a book relating to the history and discovery of science and engineering in her older brother’s room. She wants to explore more and beyond. She loves history and science subjects at school and she loves the Rubik’s cube! She also enjoys video games.
