Team Colombia 2019 🇨🇴

Colombia is a country located in South America, its capital is Bogotá and it has 32 departments. It is the only nation in South America that has coasts in the Pacific Ocean and access to the Atlantic through the Caribbean Sea, where it has several islands, such as the archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina; this allows us to realize a global idea about the environmental situation in the world’s oceans, which is the main objective of the 2019 FIRST Global Challenge.

We are very excited to participate in this global challenge because we can perceive closely this problem and this becomes an incentive to make proposals and projects that improve our country.

Our team represents Colombia; we are 5 high school travelers and 4 support students in different areas. Along with 3 great mentors, we apply STEAM education in our daily lives, which promotes passion, self-discipline and knowledge to meet the objectives that we set over time, in addition to driving us to seek solutions to social, technological and environmental problems.

Our team has enhanced certain skills, such as excellent management of English, design, mathematics, physics, biotechnology, research, reading, computer science and biology, and these skills can be evidenced in all team members and are used to mitigate the difficulties of our environment.

All this motivates us to leave a positive impact on society, and with our discipline, effort and dedication we will be able to give a broad representation to our country Colombia to meet the goals of the proposed team.
