The members of the team were selected after an evaluation through a call of applications where students with the best STEM project ideas won.  The team captain is 16 year old Victor Mjimapemba who is studying electronics and computer engineering. Lauryn Chiwaya is an energy engineering student is the team spokesperson. Sally Changaya of biomedical engineering, Nyasha Mpinda of Electrical Engineering and Patience Muhunya of Energy engineering are the other Team Members.

What the team members share in common is the eagerness for a technology-focused career, which is what drew them to join the Polytechnic design studio. They are very happy to deepen their knowledge by learning more about robotics and taking part in the FIRST Global Challenge, where they look forward to experiencing how different ideas can have the same outcome.
