Team Cyprus is a team with much history in FIRST® competitions as we have been participating in FIRST Global and other FIRST competitions since 2017, our team is centered around gracious professionalism and the FIRST spirit in general. We are very excited for the solutions challenge this year, as we find the opportunity to educate and inform the public in Cyprus about how STEM can solve many of the problems in our community and all around the globe. As a team we believe that the most important thing we can do is help spread the ideals of FIRST and inspire other bright young minds to take up robotics, which is a thing we have done several times in the past through several initiatives, such as (1) our Hope Robogees programme in 2019 where we trained in robotics unsupervised (children with no parents) under 18 years old refugees in partnership with Hope for Children, (2) our partnership with Team Uganda back in 2019 where through FIRST Global we were able to help them expand their knowledge on robotics through the Internet using video conferencing, (3) our latest robotics project where we offered free robotics lessons to teachers of public and private schools all around Cyprus to help them inspire new students in STEM.
