20 Sep Team Ecuador 2021 🇪🇨
Team ECUADOR for the 2021 FIRST Global Challenge Discover & Recover is mostly formed by new students and new mentors. Only one of our students was a member on last year’s team. The students have little knowledge of robotics, but we are sure we can do a good Solutions Challenge. We hope more students can join our activities as we hope the lock down, mobility restrictions and health measures got some flexibility for the in-person activities.
Team ECUADOR 2021 is:
NATHALY ABIGAIL DOMINGUEZ BENALCAZAR (16 years old)
Coursing Senior year at Federico Gauss high school. I am interested in helping the most vulnerable people in my community to develop their greatest potential through the use of tools that allow everyone, regardless of their social or economic stratum, to enjoy the rights they deserve, and in the future contribute to the country with creative solutions for problems you face. One of my expectations in this contest is to be able to bring new ideas to reality and, by the help of STEM tools, to make more people join this learning path and discover all the options they have to learn, discover and solve problems. By joining the Ecuador team, I hope to learn from many different points of view, be able to represent people of my generation in a good way and demonstrate that technology is an important tool that we have to help other people.
DANIELA RODRIGUEZ
My name is Daniela Rodríguez, I’m 14 years old. I live in Quito, Ecuador, and go to ANAN Academy 10th grade. I love painting and music; I was part of the FIRST Global Challenge last year. This year I’m very excited about the challenge, looking forward to learn more about STEM education, how can it improve my school performance and how can I use it to help within my community, improve my team work and make a difference with my attitude.
KENNETH SALAZAR
I am in my last year of high school at the “Federico Gauss” school. My interest is to be able to help my people, the people of my country, the people with whom I relate, friends, family, etc. My main point is to be able to help all people to get a quality education and achieve everything they want from a good education to equality in it. By passing and competing in this contest my point is to achieve that a dream is not so big nor a dreamer so small, in a few words I want to achieve that all people with rights and duties can get a “STEM” education in a direct and equal way. By being part of the Ecuadorian team I am not only looking to meet new people or new places, my point is to carry my flag on my back and show that my country can be at the top of everything and I want to leave my country at that point.
DANIEL ROBALINO (Mentor)
I am a computer and electronic technical tutor, I am proud to guide my team in this great challenge as part of a new work modality, as one more member of this fabulous team I will be willing to share all my knowledge and technical contribution to make this competition a very fun experience.
BYRON EGAS (Mentor)
I am the technical tutor, mathematics and physics teacher with experience in mechanical and electrical construction.
