We are Team Gabon. Our country is located in Central Africa. Gabon is crossed by the equator, washed by the Atlantic Ocean and has border countries: Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea and Congo.

Our team has been around since 2017. It was created to take part in the first edition of the FIRST Global Challenge. Until last year, the team was made up almost exclusively of students from Lycée Technique JEAN FIDELE OTANDO. This school is located in Port-Gentil, the economic capital of the country. To train quickly, the team relied on the Electronics-Computer-Automation club that existed within the establishment. This club was set up over twenty years ago by the current supervisor of Team Gabon.

For the first time, a robotics club has just been created in a general education high school in the country’s capital, Libreville. This is the Lycée d’Application NELSON MANDELA. Team Gabon is therefore now composed of high school students belonging to two schools located in two different cities of the country. All student members are either in scientific series or in technological fields. Everyone loves STEM and is thirsty for creativity and innovation. Today, the team consists of several members.
