In 2021, the Guatemalan National Robotics Team for FGC is being represented by 12 young people from different departments of Guatemala. This team was made up of the winners and young people who demonstrated high performance and dedication during the National Robotics Competition held from March to June 2021. The National Robotics Team has allowed more than 55 young people to represent Guatemala with dignity for the past 5 years. In 2020, while competing in FGC, the team finished 25th place out of 175 countries worldwide, 3rd place in Latin America and 1st place in Central America. This year, a strong effort is being made to achieve the same or better results working on 3 projects in parallel: the assembly and programming of a CubeSat prototype, the solution to a real problem in Guatemala related to environmental issues, and building a robot that meets various technological challenges. Team Guatemala supports the idea of young women participation in technological activities to achieve better performance and results.
