Team Guyana Robotics 2021 hosts a diverse team of sixteen boys and girls from different backgrounds with ages ranging from 14 to 18. They were all selected after a series of pre-challenges. Each member boasts a collection of skills that adds positively to team.
Ariel Taylor was a member of the 2020 FIRST Global Challenge Guyana team. She is sixteen years old and loves outdoor activities, dancing and technology. She hopes to work in the field of tourism in the future.
Domanech Wills is a fourteen year old who enjoys cricket and video games. He looks forward to contributing to STEMGuyana, our host organization.
Lateisha McArthur is an athletic fifteen year old who loves cycling, swimming and track. She is also a talented track athlete and basketball player. She is able to adapt to any sport activity and perform effectively. In the future, Lateisha sees herself becoming a gynecologist.
Amena Chhatarprasad is also fifteen years old. She loves nature. She enjoys gardening and taking care of animals. She is a very talented problem solver and an engineer in the making. Amena hopes to become an environmentalist someday.
Daniel McAlmont is an eighteen year old who enjoys bringing laughter to the room. He likes dancing, singing and browsing TikTok. He also loves interactive sessions and hopes to be an influencer to help change and shape the young minds of tomorrow for the betterment of us all.
Akhilesh Kishun is Grade 10 student who is interested in robotics and computers. His hobbies are playing cricket, fish keeping and DJ-ing. Even though he has not decided on his future occupation, we know he has a bright future ahead.
Lazaro Fraser is currently an aeronautical engineering student who is attached to an aircraft engineering organisation in the avionics department. He enjoys anything that includes engineering and likes to see how things move and operate and the mechanisms behind them. In his spare time he builds things, whether it’s an item he saw somewhere or an original idea. He turns them into projects and works on them until they become reality.
Raah Russel is a Grade 10 students with a love for acting and stand-up comedy. He loves cars and motorbikes also. Raah plays badminton, steel pan and has started learning to play the piano. He hopes to become a robotic engineer in the future.
Ezra Minty is fourteen years old. It is fair to say that he has a passion for computer science and digital content production since his hobbies include programming, pen testing, music production and video editing. He is also talented in playing the tenor saxophone.
Xaria Holder loves reading and swimming. This sixteen year old would like to become a psychologist in the future and own her own library / bookstore (a safe space for children and adults who share her love for reading).
T’Sehai Holder plays tennis and dances. She is also on the girls’ basketball team at her school. She is learning to play the trumpet and piano. T’Sehai has had an interest in photography since she was nine and would like to become a photographer.
Manoj Lachhman enjoys reading, gaming, and thinking about random ideas which may pop into his head. He is interested in computers and technology and hopes to have a career in computer science in the future. He is also currently learning to play the guitar.
Javon Azore is fourteen years old who has already started a small business named Classic Clay where he makes jewelry and other small craft items using polymer clay. He is a LEGO fanatic and enjoys building with LEGO. He wants to become an engineer and also work as an artist and business man.
Jedaiah Gibson is the youngest on our team. Unlike many students, Jedaiah actually enjoys solving mathematical challenges. He is also interested in engineering.
Emeleo Persaud likes building with LEGOs. He has an interest in robotics and loves to share his ideas. Emeleo always brings a positive attitude to the team.
Kyle Dos Santos was a member of the 2019 and 2020 FIRST Global Challenge Guyana teams. He is a talented problem solver and a budding engineer. Kyle is interested in remote controlled vehicles.
