And once again we, Team Latvia, come together to work, plan, discuss, invent, sketch, learn, create, meet others, make friends, relax, and of course – to discover & recover – in such a great event as the 2021 FIRST Global Challenge.

Kristofers Nīmanis is already attending FIRST Global Challenge for the third year. He is a competent team member and has knowledge in many technology related fields. He has been tinkering with electronics for over 7 years, and in recent years with many other fields, for example: programming, computer science and 3D modelling. Kristofers cannot wait to build this year’s competition projects with the other team members and maybe find great solutions for local community problems.

Reinis Araks participates in FIRST Global Challenge for the second year. Last year’s experience has inspired Reinis to be more active in STEM-related activities including engineering, science subject olympiads, programming and some personal projects. Reinis is very excited about this year’s CubeSat Prototype Challenge and the challenges he will need to overcome together with the team.

Ričards Liškovskis. Just a year ago, Ričards first became acquainted with STEM and all the great opportunities it offers. Since then, he has been studying physics and electronics in depth, participated in mathematics olympiads and IT hackathons, and became even more passionate about his hobby – programming. This year, Ričards, in collaboration with other team Latvia participants, plans to create an interesting and useful project for the community.

Mentor of the team, Egmonts Pavlovskis, is trying to keep up with all the expected and unexpected global and local issues and to facilitate productive and enjoyable teamwork.
