Mabuhay! We are the DYCI Primes representing our country, the Philippines.

From Dr. Yanga’s Colleges Inc., our team is composed of five students from Junior High School and Senior High School Department, who are striving for excellence especially in the field of Robotics. Even though the skills and traits of each member vary, we share the same goal – to help our community DISCOVER and RECOVER. Three of our members took part in last year’s FIRST Global Challenge: Connecting Communities which is why we will use that experience in completing this year’s challenges. And through our two new members, we will have fresh ideas that will provide us with more innovative solutions.

Just like everyone across the globe, we ourselves experienced the hardships brought by the pandemic. Our team sees this FIRST Global Challenge as an opportunity to use our knowledge in the field of STEM to DISCOVER solutions that would help our communities RECOVER from this Global Health Crisis. As we come from the same school, our team members have been taught by our Alma Mater a value that we must possess every time we accomplish a goal – “Magis”, a Latin word which means “to be more.” Our team strives to bring out the best within ourselves, which we achieve through the help of one another, and with that, we are equipped better to solve challenges in our community. We also see this competition as an opportunity to connect with other teams, as they are our co-STEM enthusiasts, and our team hopes that we will be able to share our ideologies with them, and learn theirs, to provide an innovative solution to this year’s FIRST Global Challenge – Discover & Recover. And as part of the STEM Community, we acknowledge the strengths of the other teams, and that we would learn a lot of wisdom from them, especially when we connect, because we believe that Robotics isn’t only about technicalities, hence, it is a platform where one can discover, share and innovate ideas that would create lifelong solutions and lessons that would be beneficial to our society.
