We are Team Switzerland! We came together to undertake two FIRST Global Challenges and represent two of the linguistic regions of Switzerland – The German speaking part and Italian! We put our two team names together to form Fridolins – Smilebots! You might have seen us around before but here is a little bit about us:

Smilebots undertook the Robotics Challenge and is a team made up of high school kids united by a passion for robotics and friendship. We have been enthusiastically participating in the FIRST LEGO League for several years and we are the current Swiss champions. We are facing this FIRST Global Challenge for the first time in 2021 and we hope it will become our race in the future.

Fridolins undertook the CubeSat Prototype Challenge and is a class of 17 high school students! It was incorporated into our Naturwissenschaftlich Project Unterricht (NPU), on in English Science Lessons Projects, and through this we had the opportunity to undertake the FIRST Global Challenge for the first time and wanted to give opportunity to underserved communities with our CubeSat prototype!
