Hello! Here are Asya, Andriy, Varya, and team mentor Yuliia from Ukraine! Our team is not as big as it can be. But we are a team of enthusiastic students that want to change our country and our future. And of course, we start from ourselves. We want to show everyone that science can be really interesting and we want to share our passion for Robotics and STEM.

My name is Asya. I’m 17 years old. Now I’m studying Computer Science at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. I’ve been interested in Robotics since 5th grade and still, it’s my main interest. But I also like reading, especially historical literature, and traveling. The thing I’m most excited about FIRST Global is getting new experiences. I’ve had my experience with other FIRST competitions, I took part in three seasons of FLL. My favorite thing about FIRST is community. I love meeting different kinds of people.

My name is Andriy. As a child, I attended kindergarten and was always an active child. During school, I changed schools, participated in many competitions (Robotics also), and went to international competitions with the World Robot Olympiad. Many more times I was a volunteer at various events, at the fair as well. Now I am studying in the second year of university, I organize various festivals, events (the largest was recently for 423 people). I take the best from life and believe in people.

My name is Varya. I am 17 years old. This year I passed the second year of study at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, majoring in Political Science. Most of all, I like to communicate with different people and gain useful skills. I am very fond of drawing and graphic design, my goal is to achieve mastery in these areas. I decided to take part in FIRST Global to get an interesting experience that will help me later in life. It is also a great opportunity to learn something new and improve your knowledge in several areas at once.

My name is Yuliia. I am a team mentor. From childhood, I was interested in computer technologies. That was a reason for me to start studying it more. So, first of all, I started to study programming and changed my school to another, where I was able to face it more. Now, I am a student of KPI and my specialization is Computer Vision and Object Detection as a field of Applied Math. But more than programming, I am interested in Robotics. So this was a reason for me to be a participant of the FIRST Global Challenge in 2018 and 2019 years.
