FGC Team Albania is a group of nine young and bright engineers, some of whom have had previous experience with FGC activities and programmes: Sam Gjonaj (17, programmer, team captain), Ditri Çollaku (16, team spokesperson, social media manager and builder), Martin Kalo (17, builder), Dea Dervishi (16, builder), Bora Gripshi (16, builder), Arb Izeti (17, video editor, builder), Arlin Cobo (15, programmer), Joana Cobo (14, programmer, builder), Siri Hupin (15, builder) and Taejoon Im (18, builder). Eda Peshku and Juljan Grori, two mentors who voluntarily offered to share their expertise in the field of robotics with the students, serve as their guides and supporters. FGC Team Albania is based in the capital of Albania, Tirana. The team uses the facilities of the private high school Tirana International School, which kindly provided them to the group. All of the students have a genuine enthusiasm for robotics and have competed in a variety of international robotics and programming competitions, such as Technovation, FTC, FLL, and earlier iterations of the FGC. Looking into the future, team Albania’s mission is to encourage and promote by example STEM within the country, focusing more towards the younger generations. It is the first step for Tirana to become a significant innovation center in Eastern Europe. The team is beyond excited to be able to travel again and meet all the other teams in Geneva!
