Team Azerbaijan 2022 🇦🇿

Our team has five student members and Mr Zaur as a mentor.

Shovgi (Captain):

Shovgi is a student in 11th grade who wants to be a chemical engineer. Since childhood, he has been interested in Science and engineering. Mainly he liked Chemistry, and after school, he attended extracurricular chemistry classes. Shovgi’s hobby is cars, mechanical systems and speed, especially go-karts. He is thinking about different designs of go-karts and is dreaming about his own designed the fastest go-kart. Now, he is preparing for university admissions to Chemical engineering faculties to be able to merge his interests and design his engine in the future.

Sadig (spokesperson):

Sadig is a middle school student in year 8. Sadig is interested in Lego competitions and robotics, which is why he is in the team. He is confident in his robot-building skills because he has built his first digital Lego robot. Sadig also loves science and technology, and he has attended special courses to be able to start his startup projects. He is aware of the ecological problems and wishes to suggest solutions for them. He aims to gain experience in competition and learn as much as possible to contribute to the global warming problem of a global society. Sadig believes that small changes can bring more significant results and will do his best to be part of the change.

Karim (builder):

Karim is interested in constructing a variety of machines and buildings. He is making model cars with small engines. During the process, he uses different robotics and electronics elements. Karim thinks the 21st century has shown how humanity can develop through technological development. However, it has disadvantages like increased carbon emission. We have to deal with problems like carbon emissions and keep improving. It will be possible through developed engineering and design. He participates in a competition to be part of the solution that FIRST Global tries to provide. It is not essential to get a medal, rather than to communicate and to develop a common language to save the globe is more important.

Abbas (Human player):

Abbas is a secondary school student, too. He likes to build and design different structures with blocks and Lego parts. He is good at design and will be an essential part of the team, even though he works alone in other situations. He is interested in basketball and drawing, which will be helpful during our journey. Abbas loves being in nature and is aware of global environmental issues. He wishes to use his design ability to help solve carbon emissions. He is also interested in taking pictures and hopes to have nice shots in Switzerland.

Resul (coder):

Resul is a grade 8 student and he loves coding. He is good at Arduino and spends his free time creating different projects. With his projects, he has already participated in several international competitions. He got first place in Expo Dubai 2022, and third place in Tunisia IFEST 2022. For Resul, FIRST Global is the next challenge for him; however, a special one. FIRST Global tries to create ecological awareness, which is also very important for Resul.
