Team Belarus 2022 🇧🇾

Greetings from Belarus! We are a team of 10 students and mentors, willing to participate in FIRST Global Challenge in cooperation with other teams from all over the globe in Switzerland this year. We studied in different schools, came from different places and didn’t know each other until recently, but our passion for robotics and STEM brought us together, and we would like to apply our knowledge and skills in these fields to make the world a better place for everyone. We are very proud and excited to represent our country at FGC in 2022!

Our mentors: ALIAKSANDR FRANTSKEVICH – head mentor (Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Methods of Teaching Computer Science of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University); YAUHENI HOVAR – lead mentor (Student of the Belarusian State University); ALIAKSANDR KULSHA – programmer mentor (Student of the Belarusian state university of informatics and radioelectronics); MAKSIM SHPILEUSKI – engineer mentor (Student of the Belarusian State University).

Our participants: DZMITRY VARANETSKI – programmer; AHNESA ALEKSINA – programmer; HLEB ULASAU – constructor; ILLIA SHKLIARYK – engineer; YAN FRANTSKEVICH – engineer; EGOR SHIKUNETS – programmer.

Here is some information about us:

Hleb: Hello, my name is Hleb, I’m 16. I’m into video games, robotics and brain games. I started robotics when I was in the first grade, and it’s very important for me because I plan to connect my future career with programming and working in a team. Participating in FGC would help me develop communication skills as well as teach me to find solutions in challenging situations.

Egor: Hi, my name is Egor, I am a gymnasium student in Minsk. My hobbies are history, programming, writing and videogames. I engaged in robotics a few years ago, encouraged by my parents. Robotics for me is a great way to spend time learning and creating something new. I like the spirit of participation and robotics – that’s why I am taking part in FGC in the first place.

Illia: Greetings! My name is Illia, I am a gymnasium student. I am keen on robotics, programming, videogames and playing musical instruments. I started robotics a long time ago, and it means a lot to me – I would like my future career to be connected with this field. I consider participation in FGC as a valuable experience in programming and robotics, communication and cooperation with colleagues.

Dzmitry: I am Dzmitry, a gymnasium student in Minsk. In my spare time I study physics, programming and do some sports. I got into robotics in the 4th grade, and I am pretty much sure my future life will be related to programming and robotics. In the first place, participating in FGC for me is a great experience in teamwork and communication.

Ahnesa: Hi, My name is Ahnesa, and I just graduated from the International School of Tomorrow. From a very young age I learned to play the piano and violin. I like to study foreign languages and cultures of the world. I got into robotics and programming in primary school, and always found it interesting. At the moment I do robotics and programming because I like to learn new things. I think that participation in FGC is a great opportunity to test and prove myself in a team. Besides, competition motivates me to keep improving myself and move on to further achievements.

Yan: Hello, my name is Yan, I am 15. I am fond of video filming and editing. I took my first steps into the world of robotics in the first grade. Connecting parts and creating controlled structures fascinated me so much that to this day robotics has a special place in my heart. Participation in this tournament for me is an opportunity to test myself and my skills.

Thank you to our supporters!
