Team Benin 2022 🇧🇯

Benin’s team at the 2022 FIRST Global Challenge is made up of about 15 young high school students, a homogeneous team of learners from different technical fields such as mechanics, electronics and programming. We have various profiles of young people with one thing in common: they are all passionate about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and also have a love for research, exploring new territories and promoting the spirit of cooperation. Each member has a specific role within the team under the guidance of the captain.

The team also organizes other STEM awareness activities and exhibitions to popularize the sector to give it credit to other parents and authorities in the country. We have already reached over 400 learners in our campaigns and activities, especially those from rural areas.

Taking part in the FIRST Global Challenge is always a motivation and a challenge in order to gain more exciting experiences: improvement of the assembly and programming techniques of robots and of our notions learned in high school, collaboration with other teams coming from various horizons. At the end of this challenge, we think we will be able to put the acquired notions to the benefit of Africa, in particular Benin, to propose adequate solutions and be the pioneers in terms of STEM education in Benin. We are ready to set sail for an impactful world!

Thank you to our supporters!
