Team Comoros is a team represented by IMARA Comoros. IMARA Comoros is a Non-Governmental Oganisation (NGO) created in 2015 with the vision of educating and empowering the youth and women in Comoros through self-created projects. IMARA Comoros is where the crossroads of STEM, Arts and Leadership meet. Team Comoros 2022 is an all-girls team, including the mentors.

We have Zaïtoune who is the team captain; Nouriati who is the human player; Anfouina, Mouzouna and Malizam who are drivers.

Comoros is an archipelago. It is made up of four islands and it has an incredible fauna diversity. Livingston is a very rare species found only on the Comoros islands and currently, it is an endangered species because its natural habitat is threatened by deforestation. This is not the only animal affected by deforestation. We have turtles, snakes and many other animals. The theme for this year, Carbon Capture, has allowed our girls to deliberate on issues surrounding climate change. They took this initiative to fight against deforestation. All the girls regret that they no longer enjoy the captivating beauty of the species that their grandparents enjoyed to have by their side.
