25 May Team Egypt 2022 🇪🇬
We are team Egypt, we train in Z-Hub robotics center in Alexandria city. Our team consists of five members of varying ages. Our names: Youssef, Youssef, Nour, Yamen, and Asmaa. Each member of us has a background of robotics and programming competitions as we all have participated in many competitions over the past years, whether locally or internationally. Our mentor’s name is Eng. Kareem Youssri, he has been a mentor for many robotics teams for the past years, sharing every team his great experience in the robotics field. It’s our first time to take a part in the FIRST Global Challenge and we are really excited to meet teams from all over the world. Making new friends, knowing more about their culture, sharing ideas. Also one of the reasons we are eager to participate in the FGC that we like the idea that we can solve the world’s greatest challenges. Furthermore, the great experience and skills we will gain from this great event that will bring the world together in a positive way looking for a change that makes the world better.
Youssef El Sayed Mohamed Mohamed Omar, 17 years old, a high school student at El Quds American School. Youssef started learning robotics at 2009 in Techno Future Academy till 2011, then he moved to Notions Academy to attend his first robotics competition which was FLL 2012 Senior Solution elementary he was still unofficial such as he won (1st place/best teamwork). Later on in 2013 he attended WRO elementary but this time he was an official player but he won (3rd place). In 2014 he was interested with the WRO so he attended one more time his team was in the (6th place). In 2015 he wanted to do something different to gain more experience so he attended his first RoboCup junior (rescue-A) and his team was in the (5th place). He attended one more time but with different entity which was Mindz Academy this team won (1st place) and they were promoted to represent team Egypt in Leipzig but Youssef wasn’t from the people who traveled due to some problems in the visa documents but they all worked together until they took (best code) in the international. Then he moved to Young Leaders Academy to work the first time with the VEX iq kit to attend his first VEX competition in 2017 they took the (1st place/ teamwork challenge/ best driving skills) but they were not able to attend the international as there was no sponsor. After that Youssef attended the WRO competition in 2017 and they took (3rd place), Youssef liked the VEX competition so he decided to attend the 2018 challenge with the same team this time they took (2nd place/ best teamwork challenge). After the competition ended he was interested with RoboCup Onstage and this was his first time their show was talking about the revolution of robots such as they took (2nd place) and they were promoted to Asia Pacific. Moreover Youssef attended the FGC of 2018 and took the safety award. Youssef is a basketball player who divides his time between learning robotics and sports, his favorite subjects are mathematics and physics as they let him work with his mind. He is also interested in robotics as this lets him work with his mind and let him learn new things, gain more experience, and make new friendships with new people. His dream in life is to make more robotics world wide competitions in Egypt and teach the new generations how to use their minds so he wants to learn Business management.
I am Youssef Abd El Mouniem, a student at pioneers’ language school in grade 12 and I had background experience with electronics and programming. Specializing in hardware field, I use that experience to build PCB’s and do more things in electronics. By focusing on competitions, I have participated at robocup junior Egypt, I participated in several sections In robocup like cospace and rescue line, and at present I am in rescue maze I want to enter an engineering college to continue my journey in electronics and programming. I want to enter the FIRST Global Challenge to take another experience in competitions.
Hello my name is Nour Akl. I’m 16 years old, and I’m a student at Riada International School in grade 12. I’m about to graduate from high school and hopefully enter the college of computer engineering. I’m interested in robotics, especially programming. Talking more about competitions, I have entered many competitions and was a first place winner in the following the regional Robogames in 2017, the International Robogames in 2018, Regional Robocup in 2018, 2019 and 2022. Moreover I was a silver medalist in the EOI in 2019. My programming journey started in 2018 and I am still improving my skills. I really look forward to joining the FIRST Global Challenge as it is one of the greatest robotics competitions and it will increase my experience and knowledge.
I am Yamen Mohamed student at Sidi Gaber language school in grade 11. I joined many robotics competitions, but I like the electric and mechanical work the most. At the first I joined ROV competition in 2017 and I won the 3rd place at the scouts category then I joined the robogames in 2017 and we won the first place here at Egypt and first place at the international competition in America in 2018, then participate at robocup junior Egypt at 2018 soccer category and won first place in the regional competition and participated in the international competition in Canada. After that, I participated at robocup junior Egypt at 2019 on stage category and won first place in the regional competition and joined the EOI 2019 and won a bronze medalist. I participated at robocup junior Egypt at 2022 soccer category and won first place in the regional competition and now joined the 2022 FIRST Global Challenge. I decided to join the FIRST Global Challenge to have more experience and knowledge and I love competitions.
My name is Asmaa Magdy Mahmoud. I’m 17 years old. I’m from Alexandria, Egypt. I am in grade 11 in El-Manar English girls school (MEGS). I always liked robots and the field of robotics in general so I’ve started to learn programming from a young age as I was looking forward to participate in the competitions that are held in Egypt. So my first time to participate in a competition was in Robocup junior Egypt 2018. I took a part in a virtual category called (Cospace rescue simulation ) and I took the 1st place with my team and we were qualified to take a part in the international competition that was held in Montreal, Canada in 2018. I have participated in the same category in Robocup junior 2019 and I took the 1st place for the second time and I was qualified with my team to take a part in Robocup junior 2019 in Sydney, Australia. I have gained that skill of team work over these years. I am also interested in competitive programming so I have participated in the EOI (Egyptian Olympiad in informatics) 2019, and am planning to study computer science in the future as I’m more interested in programming. It’s my first time to participate in FGC (the FIRSTGlobal Challenge) and I am really excited to take a part for multiple reasons: for the great experience that I’ll gain from such a huge competition, and also for making friends from all around the world, sharing experiences from working with many teams with different mindsets, and also knowing more about their culture.
Thank you to our supporters!
