Team Estonia 2022 🇪🇪

Hi! We are Team Estonia from Estonia. The members of our team come from many different places in Estonia up to 200 km apart and come from quite different backgrounds, however all of our team members have been doing robotics for 4-7 years. Additionally, our team members have been volunteers in FIRST Lego League Explore and Challenge events all over Estonia and shared our knowledge with younger teams. Our team has been put together from a few of Estonia’s teams competing in FIRST LEGO League (FLL). Such team was first put together for last year’s FGC and continues to compete this year with a great team spirit and high hopes. Previously we were competitors (in FLL program) but now we have become cooperators, combining our knowledge to achieve our goals in an even greater capacity. Since our team is fairly new we strive to achieve our goals of making a cool, highly functional robot and making new connections and friends.

For example we had with our team a really nice chance last summer to learn about robotics hand, UR5, in the University of Tartu inside the project “ManuCode” where on the day time our team and Latvian FGC team programmed the UR5 robotic hand and in the evening we discussed about FGC and gained experience from each other. Bonding with other teams inside the FGC tournament and outside it is a real value on its own.

Our goal is to set examples to others of how you can combine school curriculum and your personal interest in science to achieve maximum impact in studying STEM and develop your own personal study path.

Thank you to our supporters!
