
25 May Team Ethiopia 2022 🇪🇹
The Ethiopian team for the 2022 FIRST Global Challenge is made up of 12 people, five students, and seven mentors. We all share a passion for robotics, we are very excited to represent our country this year at the FIRST Global Challenge. Our team consists of students from different schools, from the city of Adama, located in the Great Rift Valley of Ethiopia, and Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia.
Our Team Members:
Emrachel: My Name is Emrachel Muluwengel. I’m 14 years old and I am a grade 9 student. I enjoy reading and listening to music. I’m excited for the 2022 FIRST Global Challenge, I expect the best from my team and we’ve worked so I expect us to win
Saron: My Name is Saron Bisrat. I’m a grade 9 student. I am passionate about anything related to computers, I enjoy listening to songs and watching movies. I am looking forward to this competition and a cleaner world.
Mesud: Hi My Name is Mesud Khalifa Hassen. I am 15 years old. I am a grade 10 student at Excel academy. During my downtime, I enjoy programming. I think robots are the way of the future and I like them. This process taught me much more than robotics, it taught me Group work. For me, collaboration means joint work.
Ayda: My Name is Ayda Ahmed. I’m a 13-year-old girl from Ethiopia’s Adama region. I attend Neros School and am an 8th grader. In my spare time, I like to read and cook. I hope our team succeeds in the competition while also having fun. In addition, I have no doubt that this competition will benefit my professional future. This will be a wonderful experience; I have no doubt.
Eyobed: My Name is Eyobed Yonas Zewde. I’m a 13-year-old student from Adama. I am a grade 8 student at Neros School. My Hobbies include playing video games and coding. Participating in the FIRST Global robotics competition is an amazing experience. Our ability to collaborate as a team and my understanding of robots both grew thanks to this competition.
Team Ethiopia is also made up of amazing mentors and assistants with exemplary professionalism, competence, and expertise. Our main mentors this year are, Nahom Tadese and Elias Ketema, as well as five assistant mentors with previous experience in FIRST Global 2019, 2020, and 2021. Our Team of Assistant Mentors Includes Amir Aman, Noah Getachew, Dagmawi Girum and Natnael.
As a team, we hope that this challenge creates enough awareness about how carbon emissions affect developing nations and inspires STEM-based solutions to this issue.
