25 May Team Georgia 2022 🇬🇪
Hello! We are the FIRST Global: Team Georgia! Our team is based in the Guivy Zaldastanishvili American Academy in Tbilisi and has been participating in the FIRST Global Challenge since 2017. The enthusiasm for STEM subjects and activities has been increasing exponentially among our students; therefore, each year, our team consists of individuals who are exceptionally passionate about robotics and STEM in general and – in all respects – true aficionados. For us, this championship is an excellent opportunity to experiment with our ideas, work hard on their execution, encourage teamwork, demonstrate our strong determination and overcome new challenges. We, with the help of the FIRST Global Challenge, aspire to shape future world leaders equipped with all the necessary tools to identify global problems and solve them with their acquired skills, knowledge and experience. Our team is united under the love of STEM as well as the motivation to work together in order to achieve great things! We believe that this challenge is yet another opportunity for us to face new obstacles and overcome them together!
Team members:
Team Georgia has two adult mentors: Ilia Mestvirishvili and Archil Makashvili. And our principal goal is to provide a chance for students who are interested in STEM an opportunity to participate in the challenge that offers real experience in this field. We participate in the FIRST Global Challenge every year and are planning to have more and more students from Georgia be involved in it! Let us introduce some of our members:
Hi I am Irakli. I have been participating in FIRST Global as a member of Team Georgia for 4 years. I am very interested in STEM and FIRST Global is a chance for me to face new challenges and put myself to the test. I believe this challenge will give me the necessary experience I am looking for.
Hi, I am Barbare. I love medicine and problem solving and thus find STEM and biomedical engineering a perfect match for me. Participation in FIRST Global helps me to grow as a problem-solver and an engineer. This is my third year as a member of FIRST Global Team Georgia. I am sure this year’s challenge will help me to become a better engineer and open doors for future opportunities in biomedical engineering.
I am Lizi Ebralidze, a rising senior at GZAAT and an alumna of the FIRST Global competition. This is my third year participating and with acquired experience and knowledge, I am trying not to only fulfill my desire to build robots but also to help others and introduce them to robotics and engineering. Since early childhood, I’ve been fascinated by and deeply interested in STEM. FIRST Global and many other competitions have inspired me to become an aerospace engineer in the future.
I am Mariam Khaduri, a second-year participant in the FIRST Global Challenge as a member of Team Georgia. As a keen believer in the idea that the future belongs to STEM (and to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams), I find The FIRST Global Challenge to be the perfect opportunity to engage with individuals sharing the same ideals. STEM taught me to be a risk-taker, problem-solver, and action-taker. Thus, throughout the FIRST Global Challenge, I aspire to keep faith in my ideas, take action on them and work hard on my goals for a better future!
Hi, I am Damiane. I have been participating in FIRST Global as a member of Team Georgia for 4 years. I am interested in Engineering and FIRST Global is a chance for me to face new challenges and put myself to the test. I want to become a mechanical engineer, and this challenge gives me the opportunity to use my skills and create something interesting. For me, that is what engineering is about.
Hi, my name is Nick and this is my first year participating in the FIRST Global Challenge. I feel that this event is a great opportunity for me to get the experience of my life. I am eager to learn more about STEM, since I have always been interested in engineering and technology. There is no doubt that STEM is the future and I’m looking forward to educating myself with the help of FIRST Global.
Hi, I am Tika Nazrishvili, an alumnus of GZAAT. This is my second year at a FIRST Global robotics Challenge. Being deeply passionate about the STEM fields, participating in this challenge last year was an enormous experience and pleasure. As I decided to pursue STEM in the future, being open to new challenges, participating in the FIRST Global robotics Challenge will help me to gain useful knowledge, develop the skills and master my abilities that I will utilize in the future and with my capabilities make a world a better place!
Hi, my name is Sopho. It is my first year participating in the FIRST Global Challenge. I think it is a great opportunity for me to gain experience and some knowledge in STEM, which I have been interested in from childhood. I believe the things I will learn in this competition will be helpful in my future.
Hi, I am Giorgi Dalalishvili. It’s my first time being a part of the FIRST Global Challenge. I think it’s a great opportunity for me to see what it’s like working like a real engineer trying to invent new and extraordinary machines because in this challenge, you have to use every bit of your imagination to make the most unique robot possible and only the best minds will win, and I think this is my chance to show what I am able to do.
Hi, I am George Vashakidze. I’m participating in this event for the first time. I think this championship will help me improve and demonstrate my skills. It’s a great opportunity to learn robotics and problem–solving. This challenge gives me a chance to experience what it’s like working as an engineer.
I am Giga Maisashvili, a junior at GZAAT. Ever since I first heard of FIRST Global robotics competitions, I’ve been eager to try participating. This year is my first year participating in this competition. I’ve always been interested in STEM since childhood and hope to continue pursuing it in my future endeavors. I look forward to the new challenges and unique experiences my participation in this competition will offer and hope to work hard to do well.
Thank you to our supporters!
