Team Italy 2022 🇮🇹

Matteo M., Simone, Matteo K., Laura and Matteo C. are the 5 knights selected to represent Italy at the FIRST Global Challenge; they make up the iBot Genoese robotic Team of the Artù APS Onlus Association. The components of the iBots gravitate since 2015 around the STEM universe by participating in national and international competitions of Olympic-style robotics. Matteo M. and Simone form the iBot historical core, Matteo K and Laura are at their first approach with robotics, while Matteo C. started his journey with the llab team in Genoa.

Participation in these tenders, which require participants to carry out a research with all the characteristic criteria of the scientific protocol on a current problem, stimulated the group to conceive, develop and present innovative projects, which they then disseminated also in other events, such as for example the Busalla Space Festival.

The Team is supported by a tutor and 2 coaches who, having entered the group as parents, grew up alongside the children, and by mentors, iBots of the first hour, released for age limits, who will accompany the youngers in this new adventure. Even for parents, the lbots represent an opportunity for inclusion and sharing with their children the passion for science and robotics. Thanks to this, the group went through the pandemic united by continuing to work online, giving children, coaches and parents a little carefree in that bad period. The team grew up playing, but developing technical skills, such as programming, 3D design and printing, problem solving, use of PC. Arduino and Raspberry, as well as conceiving, developing and presenting technical projects to juries.

Now the history of the iBots passes through Geneva where from 13 to 16 October the 5 riders from Genoa and their cheerful Team will represent Italy at the FIRST Global Challenge to share ideas and experiences with over 110 teams from all over the world.

Thank you to our supporters!
