Team Latvia 2022 🇱🇻

Hello there, we are FGC Team Latvia 2022! We are from different schools, but we all meet at The Centre of Creative Learning “Annas 2”, one of the best places in Latvia to learn science, technology, crafts and arts. There are 5 students and our mentor Egmonts Pavlovskis in our team. We are looking forward to a great and inspiring event and meeting all of you this fall. See you in Geneva, Switzerland!

Hermanis Petručena (17 y.o.): I am a third-year mechatronics student in RTK (Riga Technical College). Since early childhood, I have been fascinated with our perception of the world and even more so with humanity’s ability to change the world. I have particapated in multiple robotics competitions and have enjoyed them very much. In my free time, I like learning about electronics, mechanics, and their different uses. I also love 3D modelling and printing. Nature also fascinates me, because although it looks simple on the outside, it is an amazingly complex system. During the weekend, I also love to go fishing and during the mushroom season, I like going foraging. I like challenging myself and finding a ways to improve myself. That’s why I participate in the FIRST Global Challenge!

Pēteris Pekarskis (14 y.o.): I am an 8th grade student at Āgenskalns State Gymnasium. I like to do electronics and I think it will be very useful in the future. I also do pentathlon (running, swimming, fencing, shooting and horse riding). I want to take part in the FIRST Global Challenge because I like all kinds of challenges!

Roberts Trokša (14 y.o.): I am in the 8th grade at the Riga 1st State Gymnasium. I have always been excited about programming and electronics. I also do ballroom dancing and painting. In my spare time, I go fishing with my father. I like to learn new things and use this knowledge in competitions, that’s why I’m in the team.

Marks Aleksandrs Stūris (14 y.o.): I am an 8th grade student in Riga’s Center Humanities high school. I have been expanding my knowlege in electronics for some years. I have an interest in electronics since I was a child. I’ve always wanted to become an electrical engineer. I really like engineering and electronics, but sometimes I have a hard time finding and fixing my mistakes. I also like music, watching anime and playing a game called ‘’minesweeper’’. In my spare time, I also participate in „Jaunsardze” (scouts).

Dimitrijs Starkovs (14 y.o.): Hi! I am an 8th grade student of Riga 46th high school. Since childhood, I’ve liked electricity and its concepts, because my dad is an electrician. I like to watch Netflix, play CS:GO and basketball. I also know how to design 3D models and print them on the 3D printer.

Thank you to our supporters!
