Hello, World!

We are Team Moldova! Many of you might have heard about us, as “A small country with a big heart”, when discussing the terrible war that is going on in the country neighboring us, Ukraine. We are proud of our country for how it has dealt with the crisis and supported Ukrainian refugees by opening their homes and their lives to those running from the war. Some of us were volunteers at donations collecting centers, sorting and distributing the many things our kindhearted people succeeded in collecting.

We are very excited to represent our country at the 2022 edition of the FIRST Global Challenge in Geneva and contribute to a groundbreaking movement, led by the innovators and engineers of tomorrow. Our team consists of 5 students from different schools in Chisinau, named Sanda, Mihai, Cristian, Vladimir and Nicolae, guided and inspired by our mentors Florin, Andrei and Carolina. We all share a common goal: to explore and create solutions that could improve people’s lives, which led us into joining forces and confronting the FIRST Global Challenge.

Years ago, we got really lucky to be introduced to robotics, which changed our lives forever. It taught us to be problem solvers, to be brave, to be persistent and most important – we got the strong belief that a great invention is a matter of hard work, creativity and cooperation. With that in mind, we are eager to join our peers from all over the world in tackling critical challenges, to learn new things, share our expertise and develop viable solutions for the world of tomorrow.

We are grateful for the incredible platform and opportunities FIRST Global is providing, and we are delighted to represent our beautiful country Moldova and we hope to make it proud of our achievements.
